Hatch Enlargements
Loft hatches come in all shapes and sizes and are occasionally in the wrong place - there is no clearance in the loft for a conventional ladder or the hatch is in the bathroom or a cupboard.
If the hatch is too small we can enlarge the size with little fuss or mess, this entails removing the existing frame, enlarging the opening and then creating a hand-made made-to-measure frame and door - with a hinged drop down door all ready for your new loft ladder.
If you require a new hatch we would first check that your ceiling joists were positioned in such a way that we could place your new hatch were you required it, then cut out the opening and fix the new frame and door in place again leaving it ready for your your new ladder all this for only • £90.00
When we fix the Easy Step Loft, Easy Step De-Lux or Easy Step Grande all enlargement costs are included in the cost of the ladder. These alterations can often actually save you money as they do not require more expensive specialist ladders that require little clearance in the loft.
All of these alterations should only be attempted by experienced carpenters.
