Loft Flooring

Loft conversion flooring and ladders

We fit flooring that is manufactured for the room floors in new modern houses. In other words we do not fit 'loft flooring', we have tested loft flooring and find it to be too soft a compound. This is fine if you only store empty boxes in the loft but we feel it is not substantial enough for the type of storage people generally use there lofts for. It comes in small short lengths which when trimming in between joists can be extremely wasteful.

Our flooring is manufactured and fitted to the highest possible standard, it is all tongue and groove jointed. The resin compound used in the manufacturing process is extremely hard so if you stand on the edge of it the board will not give way. It is guaranteed for 10 years.

This sort of flooring will improve the value of your property - increasing your usable floor space by up to fifty per cent.

Insulation Packing Joists

Insulation Packing Joists

The current government recommended thickness for loft insulation is 270mm. This is cross-laid using 100mm and 170mm insulation at right-angles to each other. The problem with this is the 170mm covers the joist and makes storage and walking in the loft impossible.

We have developed a product enabling customers to maintain there insulating barrier and store safely within there loft space. We are able to install new floor joists above your existing joists to accommodate the recommended 270mm of insulation.
